An Evening Dedicated to Mind Penetrating Movies

Last night I took the time to watch some great movies. I had seen a lot of the classics that fall into this category like 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Usual Suspects, 12 Monkeys, Memento, Donnie Darko, etc. But last night I watched two new ones and here is my opinion on such.

My Christian Bale is quite an actor if you look at the spectrum and dedication he puts into all of his roles. I had seen bits and pieces of this but never sat down to appreciate the whole film. I loved the idea, and premise being a business buff myself. People tend to stray from their 9 to 5 life. I won't ruin anything but this is a movie I suggest all take the time to see.

Now for this one, it's much more recent than any I have mentioned on here. The twist is a little more obvious but the way they depicted it was pulled off nicely I thought. Leonardo DiCaprio has really grown into a real actor especially compared to how he started. I once again hope people take the time to see a film like this. Even if the twist becomes obvious I love all films. Dumb movies are even a guilty pleasure of mine because turning off your mind is always a good time.

    American Psycho is my all-time favorite movie, a lot of people dont look at it as a very dark satire, but if they do (and they should), they will find it is actually hilarious as well

    Man.. 2 really solid picks. I saw 12 Monkeys for the first time the other day, I think Brad Pitt killed it... I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it yet!

    I really enjoyed Shutter Island. When I first saw Leo in Titanic, I hated him, now I'm starting to like him.

    Love American Psycho. And I agree, the twist in shutter island was way too obvious, really if you're bright enough you could figure it out in like the first 10 minutes.

    I skipped Shutter Island. Someone spoiled the ending for me and now I can't even watch it. This all the Internets fault! Anyway, that was a good read!

    I absolutly loved Shutter island, I thought the plot line was fantastic even though about 1/2 way through I was able to guess what was going on.

    Regardless, fantastic movie IMO

    I watched the shutter island on my plane flight .
    Well recorded , nice lightning efects but you can easly guess end in the middle of movie
