The Best Parts of the 2011 E3 Conference Thus Far

E3 has been full of remakes and sequels all while pushing Kinect and Move down the consumers throats. Here are the best parts that I have seen in my opinion. I've been watching most of the coverage and all joking aside there have been some cool stuff. First, here's sony solving the age old "screen looker" problem.

After some reading people say this have been done before buy Sony seems to be redefining it and I think that this is very cool. I've had several fights over this stuff personally as a child. Now just a few hours ago Nintendo released a showcase of their new console: Wii U

New Controller: The new controller incorporates a 6.2-inch, 16:9 touch screen and traditional button controls, including two analog Circle Pads. This combination removes the traditional barriers between games, players and the TV by creating a second window into the video game world. It includes a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, rumble feature, camera, a microphone, stereo speakers, a sensor strip and a stylus.

CPU: IBM Power®-based multi-core microprocessor.
Other: Four USB 2.0 connector slots are included. The new console is backward compatible with Wii games and Wii accessories.
(Taken from the Nintendo E3 2011 Press Release)
Games announced: Smash Brothers, Battlefield 3, Batman: Arkham City, Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon Online, Darksiders II, Dirt, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Metro: Last Light, Tekken, Ninja Gaiden 3, FIFA 12, Madden 12, Driver, Lego City Stories

Looks pretty cool I'll wait for more. As for my other thing that I love is Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's demo. I really have loved all of the Elders Scrolls as an RPG fan. If you haven't yet you should try to play Oblivion and Morrowwind if you have never tried doing it. Some people say they're boring in the beginning but they are very fun and amazing stories.

Another Day Another Dollar

I just got out of work today and I am pretty beat from it. I work a temp job for the summer and basically go around doing odd jobs for companies in my county. Today I had the privilege of unloading a furniture shipment from Thailand. It was pretty exhausting and hot to boot but I'm glad I did it. It was quite a work out and very hot inside of the 18 wheeler it came on. The people I worked with were cool and helpful, sometimes you get stuck with a lazy kid but everyone there did their part to make it go fast. Now, I am going to make some Asian Chicken Thighs on the grill and eat lunch with a couple of friends who are headed here.

A band that actually was formed in the town next to me but has since made it quite big is Titus Andronicus. I heard about them before I went to school in Boston then I was walking past a bar and saw they were headlining and I remember they were form the town near me in New Jersey. But anyway, they've made it big and are pretty talented.

If you have the time check out The Monitor by them if you haven't heard it, it's a pretty darn good album. I'll throw their popular track on here. Hope you guys like it.

A Slow Morning After A Night Out Also, Cereal

Last night I went to a little party that I planned on just stopping by for a tad but ended up staying the entire evening and well into the morning. Running on a little sleep but I'm good for now. What I'm here to discuss mainly is breakfast. Now forget all that "most important meal of the day". I'm not here for nutrition I'm here for the meal that makes me get ready to kick the day ahead of me in the face and smile the whole time. So what's the breakfast? What's the go to? I love to cook eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, the works. But this morning I was in a lazy mood and ate some cereal. Which may be my favorite.

Now the reason I'm writing this is I'm here to ask you what your favorite cereal is. Breakfast foods aside I'm just talking straight up pulling out the box and enjoying a large bowl of it. I had a bowl a few hours ago and either I'm gonna have another shorty or I think it's time for me to get cooking. Feel free to suggest what I should cook this week and post here. Also, playing a little a TF2 if you guys wanna play I'll post my steam ID.

Video Games You May (Not) Have Forgotten About

Hey all, hope you're all doing well and enjoying the weekend. Well after yesterdays post I learned most of my readers do not care for Kanye West. Oh well, subjectivity is big in music just giving you guys a taste of mine :P. Anyway I will be taking your guys advice and be posting some pictures and try to compile some recipes of the next good dish I cook. This will most likely be sunday afternoon or even monday. So thanks for that suggestion because I think it could help those of you who aren't comfortable in a kitchen to try some new stuff or even the most veteran cooks a new take on a dish they may be accustom to. So as for the blog currently, I'm gonna talk about some games I've been playing and enjoying that I haven't thought about in a while so try them out if you have them laying around.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors
(SNES & Sega Genesis)
This game my friends takes me back to simpler time of all my troubles being brisked away by walking across the street and playing this game with my best friend. We would battle as Zeke and Julie to save the overrun town of their zombie infestation. Developed by Lucas Arts and published by Konami  I recommend this game for it's use of weapons and really becomes challenging in time.

Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
(Nintendo 64)
One of the first discussions I had with my college roommate which I still firmly remember was a discussion of old school games. We both brought up this game, it's a rare one too and I knew he was a true old school gamer. It's a strategy RPG but the story of your character Magnus Gallant is really enthralling and is worth the play for any gamer.

Tomba!
(Play Station 1)
This side scrolling adventure started with a demo disc I believe I received in the mail for a mailing list for a magazine. After playing it I knew it was worth purchasing, I was still young and this was my type of game. Basically you play as Tomi and are trying to steal your grandfather's bracelet back from some evil pigs, damn pigs. Fun, energetic, memorable.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
(Game Boy)
This is one of my favorite game boy games still I recently played it through when I discovered the box full of my old game boy games. It's really a neat adventure and a nice break from always playing as that punk plumber :D. The powerups in this game aren't classic like SMB but they are bad ass compared to Mario's. The adventure is fun and really a good story for a handheld game from 1994.

Well let me know your guys' experience with these games and I'll be sure to check back about what you have to say. Hope you liked my list of a few underrated games. I could really use a cup of coffee right now and think I'm gonna go fix myself one. Have a good one all.

Melodies For The Sleep Deprived Mind

The weather has been cooler here after two weeks of straight ninety degree days. Lately I've been working on my programming skills in my summer off from college (I'm a CS major). Also I've been cooking a good amount and trying some new recipes and such. There's also been a lot of work to do around where I live, but I enjoy doing it all. Anyway, I think it's time I should share a couple more of my favorite tracks with you guys. In no particular order I present to you a few of my favorites lately that I've listened to through my restless nights.

Modest Mouse - Talkin' Shit About A Pretty Sunset
Album: This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About

Kanye West - Gone
Album: Late Registration

Gorillaz - Demon Days
Album: Demon Days

Daft Punk - Television Rules the Nation / Crescendolls
Album: Alive 2007

World of Warcraft's Creepy Children of Crystal Lake

Since you guys seemed to have enjoyed my last post about Chris Houlihan's room in A Link to the Past I decided to give you guys a good Easter Eggs that is found in World of Warcraft. It is pretty creepy but it is one of my favorite secrets I have ever learned of. Enjoy!

Laid inside Elwynn Forest there is the human starting area of Goldshire, this is also the Lion's Pride Inn which is renown as being a whorehouse in Role Playing Servers. Once you get over this fact there is a layer of creepiness that surpasses all the cyber sex that has been educed in those rooms, especially when you consider that 80% of the time one party involved probably thought the other was female. But I digress, anyway at the edge of Crystal Lake there is a house which is normally empty except at a certain time. All World of Warcraft servers reset at 7:00 AM server time and if you find your way to this room you will stumble across six children standing in an interesting formation.

Yes, that's a pentagram and they are all facing the wall. I'll let you catch your breath because it gets even weirder. The music changes when you enter this room while they are in there. Several different players have accounts of strange noises on top of the music. There are even players that claim to have heard the noises of C'Thun (AQ boss) saying "you will die" and banshees screaming. Well here's the kicker, if you take the time you can follow them from the capital of Stormwind (at 7 A.M.) until they reach their home on Crystal lake at around 7:45 AM. Oh and isn't this just precious! They never break their pentagram form!

One of the additional things about the room they dwell in (only for a short time remember then they are gone) is the music that plays while they are there. Websites and players have searched for this music throughout the game and this room is the only example of any of this music being played throughout all of the world that the designers have created.

If you play the game, go check it out! It's not hard and every account hears different noises so maybe you will get something new. If not just enjoy the fact that you now know about one of the greatest Easter Eggs of our time, or at least the greatest in WoW. World of Warcraft holds oodles of Easter Eggs and it's hard to even scratch the surface of them.

Television (Rules the Nation)

I'm looking for a good TV series to start watching during my free time in the summer. I've watched a good amount through all the way and I'll show my favorites here. Maybe afterwards you could suggest something for me and please watch these series if you find the time to start, they are all worth the ride. There are several series I love but these three have the qualities that allow me to re-watch and still enjoy. I've been very busy doing some home renovation and have a lot more work ahead of me today but will try to post again after I finish. But without further ado here's the greatest television series I have ever had the privilege of viewing in their entirety. Hope you like this list!

My number one by far, the perfect series.
If only you were real in our society....
My comedy, the subtle humor and jokes are layered beyond belief.
Brilliant, surprising and a must watch.
